How do you show employees you appreciate them?

First and foremost, we want to make Anrok a great place to work.Our employees have the flexibility to work from wherever they call home or at the Anrok HQ in SF. We hold a company-wide holiday over the winter break and encourage employees to take time off to rest and recharge. We informally have an “appreciation log” channel in our company Slack where we shout out employees for their accomplishments and thank them for their teamwork. We offer a generous benefits package, an annual learning and development stipend, and have a framework in place for regular performance reviews, something that often falls low on the priority list for companies of our size.

How are you creating a workplace of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging?

At Anrok we embrace diversity and strongly believe that is what helps our business thrive. As we continue to grow we are committed to making Anrok a safe and exciting work environment, and recruiting talent from all backgrounds and cultures.
It’s important to us that sharing, curiosity, and learning from one another are built into our culture, from our day-to-day interactions to our company traditions. Each quarter we get the global team together, alternating between our HQ in SF and an off-site to give employees time to relax and connect. We also like to host company-sponsored dinners, game nights, and virtual events to build camaraderie amongst our employees that may not work together every day.

Why should someone work at your company?

Anrok has the excitement of an early-stage start-up, yet the product-market fit of a later-stage company. Our co-founders Michelle and Kannan started Anrok because they saw an opportunity to solve a pain point shared by all SaaS companies, and growing quickly in urgency and complexity. We see huge customer demand and believe the time is now: Legislation for taxing Internet software was passed in 2018, the majority of states implemented it in 2019, and started auditing and going after companies in 2020.
We are excited to become the sales tax standard in every SaaS company’s finance stack, and we’re already working with some of the most cutting-edge businesses today. We have built a world-class team and believe the next team member at Anrok has tremendous potential for impact.
