How do you show employees you appreciate them?

  • bttn tacos - an internal rewards and recognition program to spotlight colleagues company-wide for their efforts to move projects forward and help each other.   
  • Weekly pulse taker - anonymous way to track the team's mood and energy
  • Voluntary bridge club, leverage Slack Channels to share photos of pets, children, etc. to foster connections between  colleagues

  • Focus on Health and Wellness.  We have medical, dental, and vision 100% paid for employees.  We are designing plans to expand our health and wellness programs.

  • Weekly All Hands Meeting with CEO to share successes, employee recognition, and company priorities.  We foster transparent open communication with all leaders in the organization.

How are you creating a workplace of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging?

As a young company, we don't have formal programs in place. We recently hired a Head of People to help with this but in the year we've been in existence, we have authentically and natively built connections around DEI. We have been intentional about hiring people who represent all genders, ages, races and all  walks of life. We employ several associates who identify as non-binary. For Black History Month, our founder hosted an intimate, honest company-wide conversation with three of our black colleagues to talk about their experiences in the workplace, tech, and start-up. Our belief is #beyourself and ROCK IT!

For Women's history month, we created a womxn of bttn club and asked each woman to share a story of a woman who inspires them and open discussions regarding women's needs.

One of hiring strategies is hiring women in leadership.  We are proud to say we have an equal amount of women in key leadership roles as we do males.  

We  are continuing to build upon our onboarding and company assimilation. Our Mission, Vision, Values and Leadership Table Stakes are key principles on how we treat each other and those we serve.
