While it is fun to give employees company swag and opportunities to bond in person at exciting offsite events (both of which our company does), we believe there also needs to be substance to showing employees we appreciate them. That’s why our philosophy is to make sure our employees feel seen, heard, and taken care of. An example of how we make sure our employees feel seen is by recognizing them for the great work they achieve. During our all-hands meetings, team leads can submit shoutouts to their team members who have scored a major win for the week, so the rest of the company can acknowledge their excellent work. The second part of our philosophy is making sure employees feel heard. As a rapidly growing company, we value the way our employees can shape the future of our company and are always open to listening to employees’ ideas on how to improve our products and processes. The third part is making sure they feel taken care of, an aspect we achieve by offering health and wellness benefits, including unlimited PTO, and Headspace and WHOOP memberships. When an employee feels seen, listened to, and taken care of, that’s when they can feel fully appreciated.
