CULTURE

How do you show employees you appreciate them?

Our mission is to make people as happy as they can possibly be at work, and we live that mission from the inside out. From small acts like highly personalized birthday presents given by team managers and monthly awards aligned with our company values, to more practical benefits like unlimited PTO and access to great medical and financial resources, we put the person behind the employee first.

How are you creating a workplace of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging?

We have a three-pronged approach to DEI:

  • 1.  A recruiting process that creates a fair and equitable hiring environment.
  • 2.  Continued education opportunities both through and sponsored by Mystery.
  • 3.  Open communication with management and leadership.

While these three things seem like they should be givens, they often don’t live beyond the careers page of a company website. For us to build the product we’re building, we have to practice what we preach. By using our own product, we’ve been able to scale a culture that truly values diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Why should someone work at your company?

You should want to work at Mystery because you want to make people as happy as they can be at work. An integral part of what makes our culture so great is that we don’t only hire smart, capable people, but we hire people who deeply believe in what we’re building. That common cause builds trust, peer-to-peer empathy, and helps us stay aligned.

Our company could win an award for:

Most Family-Like Business. Working at Mystery is like having dozens of siblings. We love each other, we’re connected by something deeper, we have a lot of fun, and we want each other to succeed.
