How do you show employees you appreciate them?

We have an all-team weekly recap every Friday, where we take the time to talk about what went well, what could have gone better, and who should be celebrated. We have ongoing appreciation asynchronously through Slack. At our semi-annual offsite retreats, we have "core values awards", where we recognize Resolvers who exemplify each of our core tenants. These awards are based on peer nomination. In addition, we have started providing service awards as more of our team celebrates length of service milestones with Resolve.

All team members complete a personal "READ ME" profile during onboarding to ensure we are fully inclusive and make people feel that they belong - as we recognize each individual has difference preferences. This READ ME profile includes prompts for each team member to share how often they like to be appreciated (immediately, quarterly, etc) and how (via Slack, in private, etc).

How are you creating a workplace of diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging?

As a part of our People strategy, Resolve has rolled out an initiative to provide intentionality around diversity, inclusion & belonging. As our employee population grows, so will our need to ensure we hire and support diverse backgrounds/skill sets at Resolve, as well as ensuring our team feels included and feel they belong at Resolve.

Every Wednesday, the entire company participates in a virtual "roundtable" when everybody answers a new question in effort to learn more about each other. These questions are submitted by team members and past instances have created a deeper understanding and connection between individuals. Examples of past questions: "What is the best piece of advice you've ever been given? How has it impacted your life?" "What's your interesting fact about yourself?" "What is the best thing that has happened to you in the past week?"

We are continuing down this journey by establishing belonging programs/education and the development of a formal recruiting strategy and support programs for diversity. 

  • Resolve uses several different "awareness" and "personality" assessments to ensure team members know that everybody's unique differences are understood, appreciated, and recognized. All team members receive access to the "CliftonStrengths" assessment when they onboard. This is a globally recognized, data-backed assessment that ensures teams and managers understand everybody's natural patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving - their strengths. Resolve's in-house certified CliftonStrengths coach provides additional workshops and training sessions to educate team members on how to use this framework, as well as create safe spaces for individuals to share their unique profiles and strengths. 
  • When recruiting, Resolve proactively posts our roles on diversity focused job boards and are creating an interview process with focus on minimizing opportunities for bias.

We've recently been coining "humble horsepower" as a descriptor for how our team operates. We are a group of hardworking, intelligent individuals working in tandem to shape the future of the B2B payments industry.
